Foot Massage Therapy

What is reflexology

Reflexology is a holistic therapy that involves applying gentle pressure to specific points on the feet or hands.  These points correspond with organs and systems in the body, supporting relaxation, reducing tension, and encouraging natural healing.

What if I have sensitive feet—will it tickle?

Reflexology uses firm, purposeful pressure that feels grounding rather than ticklish. Most people are surprised by how relaxing it is!

And if your feet are especially sensitive? That’s okay too. There are gentle techniques I can use to ensure your session feels safe, soothing, and tailored to you. Every treatment is bespoke - because your comfort matters.

How many sessions will I need?

The number of sessions varies from person to person, depending on your individual health goals and how your body responds to treatment.

  • For general relaxation and stress relief, many clients find 1–3 sessions beneficial.

  • For acute concerns, a short course of 3–6 weekly treatments may be recommended.

  • For chronic or long-standing conditions, a more sustained approach—typically 6–12 sessions or more—can offer deeper support.

Some people notice changes quickly, while others benefit from steady, consistent care over time. Once progress is made, monthly maintenance sessions can help you stay balanced and well.

I often begin with a few weekly sessions and reassess together, tailoring your treatment plan to suit your needs and preferences.

Is it safe during pregnancy or for children?

Yes—with a qualified practitioner. Reflexology can gently ease pregnancy-related symptoms and is easily adapted to suit younger clients. Always check your reflexologist’s specialist training.

What should I expect during a session?

Each session begins with a gentle chat to understand how you’re feeling and what support you need. You’ll stay fully clothed except for your feet (or hands), and relax on a supportive chair or couch. Using precise, soothing techniques, I work reflex points to help restore balance, ease tension, and encourage natural healing.

Afterwards, there’s space to reflect or simply enjoy the calm. Every visit is a moment to pause, reconnect, and feel grounded.

How might I feel afterwards?

Clients often leave feeling relaxed, emotional, or sleepy - though each experience is unique. Some experience a mild detox response - such as thirst or tiredness - as their body rebalances. A big exhale is common.

Can reflexologists diagnose conditions?

Reflexologists don’t diagnose. We support wellbeing holistically, helping you feel more in tune with your body and emotions—but we always recommend medical advice for specific concerns.
